Metso Lokomo Steels
Metso Lokomo Steels Oy, founded in 1916 has been a pioneer in stainless steel production. Finland's first electric arc furnace went into operation at Metso Lokomo Steels in early 1920's.
In 1982 Metso Lokomo Steels began to manufacture vacuum steels using world's first "Vacuum Oxygen Decarburization Converter" VODC. Metso Lokomo Steels' vacuum steels are marketed under the Vaculok ® -trademark. Metso Lokomo Steels is a member of Metso Corporation.
With our experienced staff and our excellent steel making facilities we can offer stainless steel for the most demanding applications. Our good machining possibilities enable us to offer castings in as cast or machined conditions depending on the customer requirements.
Our Quality Assurance system complies with ISO9001 and has been certified by DnV. We are implementing an Environmental Managing System (EMS) based on ISO 14001.
